Description
1968 Diver’s Watch Re-interpretation GMT. Designed for those who treat life as the ultimate adventure, the Seiko Prospex line meets every challenge with technological excellence and style. Part of a rich legacy of innovation in high-intensity timekeeping, Prospex continues to celebrate a long history of sports watch expertise with re-creations and re-interpretations of landmark achievements. This extraordinary timepiece, re-interpreting Seiko’s landmark 1968 diver’s watch, showcases the brand’s first mechanical GMT movement in a diver’s watch, the new caliber 6R54. Providing a power reserve of approximately 72 hours, the longest of any Seiko mechanical watch, this 24-jewel automatic GMT movement beats at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour and offers manual winding capability. The GMT hand can be set independently in one-hour increments, without interrupting the time-of-day hands, to provide a second time zone reading at a glance. Framed by a Made-in-Japan black ceramic uni-directional rotating elapsed timing bezel with knurled edge for enhanced operability, the black dial features a date calendar, gold GMT hand, and large LumiBrite markers and hands for enhanced legibility. Crafted of stainless steel with super-hard coating, this superbly functional timepiece includes an anti-reflective sapphire crystal, screwdown crown and caseback, new three-link, slim profile bracelet, and a tri-fold push button release clasp with secure lock and extender, and follows ISO standards for scuba diving to depths of up to 200 meters. 200m Water Resistant
